Hot water tower? :?: - do you/he mean steaming it -like steaming vegatables? If so, I have not tried that before.

It's all a matter if individual taste (like ice cream).

Saludos, guess what? Bought an old Dandy today. Why old? Because the owner bought it and kept it new inside the box for a couple years until today.

Dandy Rodriquez is really a legend and his Bongó is really a beautiful set. If you read his resume he started playing with Tito Puente at a very young age, then he played with Tito Rodríguez, Barreto, Típica 73 & with Latin Giants of Jazz where he is presently playing. To me he is the greatest Bongocero and that is another reason to have his model.

This is a photo Dandy sent me when I bought the vintage Valje from him. I consider him the tastiest of bongoceros.
