whaa?? LOL, Nice V-man !!

They look gorgeous bro !!

Hey I like the dark spot on hembra skin

Notice the yellowish washers? Those are hardened steel, not no regular zinc coated with chrome crap! And the nuts are wider than LP's blah blah dealios
(LP super nuts are not wide and eat into the washers)

BUT, yes I am sure they sound magnificent, I know I have a set too !!

Congrats bro !!

Seems we are both on Abakua's hate list now- though he hasn't mentioned it yet. Perhaps he's not much of a bongecro and prefers being el Mistero -Congatista. nna na na n a-- na.

Anyway, I'm sure you're diggin' the SOS ' bro, enjoy !! I played mine for a long time when I got em . Almost everyday since.....

T

P.s. Are you frozen in Fl ? I heard some record lows over there. Save me some Orange Juice man

It was very cold for florida we had several days of 30 degree temps. I have to tell you this bongo is amazing and effortless to play it really resonates.

Love the grain pattern on those SOS oak bongos, very unique.
Wondering what kind of cut they use. Quatersawn, Flatsawn???
Congratulations.

I believe that they are quarter sawn oak. I would have to call Jay and confirm that.

Whoa, wait a second, weren't we just trying to convince you not to sell you Ritmo bongos?
Did you sell the Ritmo for the SOS? Must have been a hard choice.
Both beautiful bongos.

Estan descomunales! Incredible looking and sounding, I know, I had a pair just like them in oak, sold my Juniors to get them.
Ended up trading them and 3 Gon Bops batas to get two Junior congas that I had previously sold back. Jay's items (congas, bongos, batas) are legendary. Classy Cuban design, second to none in sound. Disfrutalos Vinnie, estan CRIMINALES!

Feliz año!

VINNIE,

THOSE SKIN ON SKIN BONGOS ARE REALLY GORGEOUS DRUMS, AND THAT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING BECAUSE, OF THE SOUND THEY PRODUCE, THE LIGHTNESS IN WEIGHT, THE COMFORT THEY PROVIDE, AND JOY OF PLAYING THEM, IS LIKE OMELENKO HAS STATED, ARE SECOND TO NONE.

TO ANSWER JUANCHO'S QUESTION:

TO PLACE AN ORDER IT TAKES JUST $75.00, THE REST WILL BE DUE UPON COMPLETION, WHICH WILL TAKE APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS. MY TOTAL WAS $450.00 + SHIPPING, = MY TOTAL WAS $485.00.

THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY, AND MUCH MORE.
CONGRATS AIGAIN VINNIE!!!!!! :D

Bongo was my first instrument & though I am playing tumbas in all the bands I work with, bongo is still my first love! 8)
PS - EL MISTERIOSO - Conguero.

Vinnie, congratulations... Awesome bongo.

I must regretfully inform you though, that you have been added to my hate list. :P

The sound is incredible. The Ritmo was sold due to financial reasons unfortunately. I have to tell you in all honesty the SOS sound better than the ritmo bongo they project more and require much less effort to get your sound out. I am very very pleased with the SOS oak. Jay Bereck's drums take a back seat to no one else.
