Hey, I just bought some manteca yesterday at the Botanica. It is a liquid type instead of a paste.

THANKS FOR THE INFO ON VIRGIN OIL. I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE SKINS ON S.O.S. DRUMS, THE SKINS SEEM DARKER AS IF A SPECIAL OIL OR SOME SORT OF TREATMENT WAS APPLIED, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS?

I didn't notice any oil on mine at all when I got them a little over half a year ago.
I don't think Jay applies oil, butter or any other kind of treatment to them, at least that is my impression.

People, The liquid manteca was absorbed into the skin very fast and also stained to a rich Tan color. In the pass the paste type was slower, it is the first time that I have use this type.
