This is the walnut set I have now. It is from the 60's. Original so most of the finish has worn off.
I had another set that was a lot darker.

I tell you I have seen way more zebras than wlanut LP bongos. Right now it seems to me
that a walnut LP bongo set is rarer than a zebrawood set. Is all good they all are beauties
on their own right.

What do you think: Is this one a walnut bongó too?

Either Walnut or Mahogany, I'm leaning towards Walnut. Really you can't lose with those older PP's, too bad Martin didn't make congas out of walnut and mahogany, could you imagine?

Something tells me they are mahogany because if the slightly reddish color.
I did not buy them, the stable is full... They went for 150€ by the way.

LP Congas made of walnut or mahogany would´ve been a dream indeed!
