...about the weight on the Bongos posted by Julio... Is your vintage LP heavy ?
Ah, OK the weight - well, my old Afros were darn heavy, but my "new old" vintages LPs are fantastic: Due to the mahogany shells they only weigh about 4.3 kilograms whereas a standard Matador already weighs approximately one pound more! they´re comfortable to hold. And the center block is slightly shorter than today´s LP models.
So it´s comfy bongo time! :)

I offered to exchange my El Piernas for 2 of the ones he have.
Unfortunately I can´t tell cause I never saw nor played any of these, but - the vintage sound and feel is what I was so delighted by with my LPs - so I guess it´s pretty much the same case with the drums you mention.
