caballoballo,

Gorgeous bongos! Do you own them? If so, how do they sound as great as they look?

All the best bro, :D

Hi Caballoballo,
PJ has a very good reputation! Congas are best known, but the bongó looks pretty good for sure.
The PJ instruments are hard to see and get though. Unfortunately I´ve never seen nor played one - and I live in Europe... :(
Any experience by the others?

Best wishes
Mike

Hey, have you guys notice how are the crowns on the blue 1 ? They are hybrid between a comfort & a traditional rim. A lot better looking than the comforts. I am going to contact them about availability, price & shipping.

I did not notice the first time I looked but that rim is really nice. Thanks caballoballo for pointing this out. Please post what you find out from that company. That crown looks great!

They are distributors for PJ, that way you'll be able to experience the sound of those beautiful Bongos & could tell us about your findings. :D

Hola Caballoballo,
I have just been to Sweden last summer - caught more fish than bongos there :D
Apart from that I have a hard time already playing two bongo set at a time
- in other words, I´m very satisfied with the instruments I have (LP generation I and Supercussion ) - so it´s budget curfew as my wife calls it... :;):
But if I come to Sweden (or Denmark which is closer to me) I will definitely give the PJs a try. But perhaps I do not have to go as far as that:

Just found this page, the shop is situated in the south of Germany (Black Forest) and I also remember a well-known Percussion store in Frankfurt called "Bongolei" that used to have PJ products.
Best wishes to you
Mike

Mike, I just went to the page you listed. They have the Uno Amber Bongó, not too expensive, only 139 euros. How far is that from your home ? Also I have been to the Bongolei web page many times, they have a Sonor Globar Bongó which is very interesting for only 69 euros,I like the way the crowns are made. My unit still have plans to go the Germany sometimes during fall this year, if I go hopefully I could visit you & those 2 places.

Caballoballo,
The Bongolei in Frankfurt is a 3 hour drive from my place.
You in Germany would be far more interesting to visit :;):
Cheers
Mike
