Hi, I prefere to play congas standing, but my bongo stand is too low to get bongos incorporated into my percussion set.
What bongo stand would you suggest me to get ? I need it to able to adjust quite high.

The Meinl TMB is very good and should fit your needs. It can be extended up to approximately 1,60metres.

I use and recommend the Gibraltar bongo stand for my Gon Bops CA bongos. I have the standard model. Cost is a very reasonable $70 or less. If you're willing to shell out extra bucks, you can opt for the deluxe version. But, I'm very happy with the standard model. It has a nice minimalist bottom support and is weight friendly. I find it more than apt for the task.
Good luck,

I have LP stands and they work very well for me. But you didn't specify what total height you need your bongo heads at.

I have the Pearl heavy duty stand; it's quite nice. My only complaint, and that might be with any stand, is that on some floors the stand moves away from me when I'm playing hard. I've given some thought to making a way to add spikes to the stand's feet.

If you would check topic "Funny Thing Happened To Me Today", there are few Conte's photos at the end.
That height of the bongos would be enough I think.

Bunggie straps do the trick , I have the Meinl stand and along with the steely 2 stands for the Congas its pretty tall positioned centre of the 3 congas.

Roka, it looks like all the stuff in that video of Crystal Vargas is probably LP. My current setup is much like that, only my congas are ashwood Gio's. My LP bongo stand is about the same. They work well for me, I have two standing-height ones (which will lower to playing height if you're seated on a tall stool), and I also have one seated model which is great for if you are sitting on a drum throne. I happen to like the LP strap-lock design, though I haven't heard if there might5 be any advantages to the solid metal bracket that other brands (and old LP) use.
