Anybody know where to find the black rubber feet that go on the bottom of the bongo hooks?

I have picked up black in the past at a Ace hardware iirc, but now they now have green and nolonger the same snug fits for the hooks which I believe are 5/16" dia. You could try Ace/Lowes/HomeDeport/Menards or whatever you have in your locale. I might have some sitting around also but they would be very worn :P

OK Black Flag.....here is a sight you can get a good amount for about 9 cents each if you order 100. I did that about a year ago and I ordered the 5/16 size. They are really nice because they come about 1 inch long so you can cut to your preferred size. Here are my findings................I noticed that the rubber tips went onto a 5/16 lug pretty easy, not as snug as I would have liked, and after a while I noticed some actually fell off and I saw them on the floor. Out of curiosity I decided to put them onto my King Conga which has 3/8 inch tuning lugs ( 6/16 ) and they went on really nice and tight. So the trick is to get them 1/16 size smaller than the size of your tuning lugs. In this case, you want to order the 1/4 inch size which is just 1/16 smaller and you should have the perfect tips!!

I have a suggestion that will fit what you're looking for:
If you have a really well equipped hardware store, or better yet, an electrician's supplier you could try getting your hands on what's called "heat shrink tubing". You need the heavier gauge stuff - not the home hobby stuff you get at Radio Shack or whatever they call it now. It's available in many sizes and colours if you find a good supplier. The correct diameter for the application will provide ample free play to easily slide the tip of the lug into it. Cut as many equal lengths as you need and put them around the ends of the lug and carefully and evenly heat the tubing with a heat gun (preferable), or a torch on a very low setting until it shrinks tightly around the whole surface. Be sure to leave a little bit extra past the end so that it will close completely and any excess you can cut off with a sharp knife. The results will look great and last as long as you want it to. The drawback is that if you ever need to remove it you'll have to apply a new batch because you'll probably have to cut it off with a sharp knife - oh well...If they sell it by the foot buy a couple of feet and that should last you years.
If you try it out let me know how it works for you!

With all due respect to Chupacabra.......................
I just gave Blackflag the perfect source for what he is looking for, and you decide to tell him to buy heat shrink and use a torch or heat lamp? I have in all my 30 plus years of being around drums never seen anyone do that. That is something best suited for electrical work. Let's keep things simple man.
Whatever.

Blackflag.........you can go and buy yourself a heat lamp, or a torch, and shrink some plastic on your lugs, and you might want to get some safety goggles while you are at it, or you can do the simplest thing on the planet and get these...

Hey Chupacabra, thanks for the suggestion by the way. I'm no stranger to shrink tubing, heat guns or torches and I'd have tried it if Will (or someone) didn't know where to get what I was looking for. Will had the perfect place. Just know that your advice was respected and appreciated. The rubber feet were was precisely what I was looking for though. Thanks to all. I only wish I didn't have to buy 110 of them because it's a $9.99 minimum, @ .9 each? yeah that's 110.. Anyone want to buy some from me, lol?

Best, Chris
