I wanted to pass along some information that may be of interest to those seeking a bongo instructor in the South Florida area.
Master Percussionist Douglas Guevara is now available for bongo lessons in the South Florida area.
Douglas is a percussionist with the legendary Colombian salsa band El Grupo Niche, with whom he has been with for the past 15+ years. He is a repository of knowledge on Afro-Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Latin American rhythms. His 35+ years of experience as a professional musician and first-call recording session artist give him a unique perspective and understanding of Latin percussion, from both a traditional and modern perspective.
Douglas is also a multi-Grammy Award winning and nominated percussionist. He has played and recorded with many top-notch artists, such as Andy Montañez, Ismael Miranda, Oscar D'León, Tito Nieves, Charlie Cruz, Frankie Negron, La India, Jennifer Lopez, N'Klabe, La Sonora Carruseles, Luis Enrique, Kevin Ceballo, A.B. Quintanilla, Nestor Torres, Mark Townes, Servando y Florentino, Team V.I.P, and a host of other artists in other genres as well.
