And yes, the eyes can be deceived quite easily the way you mention it.
I had a similar experience during my Gon Bops resto, the cow skin I mounted
on the tumba had some color deviations, so that the shell appeared to be out of round with
an uneven seating of the skin. Actually the tumba shell WAS a bit out of round BEFORE I
epoxied the shell, but luckily enough I could fixed that and now all is well.
Congrats again to your Dandy set! Enjoy it as much as you can
