does anybody has got an idea of the origin of my bongo? i received it ,as a present,in cuba ten years ago from my friend raul'lali'gonzales (one of the first members of "clave y guaguanco"). he told me that it was very old.

They look like early SONOCS, made in the Fernanado Ortiz factory at Calzada Del Cerro, the neighborhood in La Habana where I was born. They look to be from the late 70's and must sound real good. I can tell they are SONOCS from the hardware. The look very "criollo" (authentically Cuban). Nice treasure!

thank you!they sound good but i consider the hembra a little bit smole for me. anyway it's a very nice object.
