Never heard or seen your first one listed "Spirit In the Wind". Is there a website? You didn't list Charlie Vega bongos of Isabela PR, he makes an excellent bongo. I had one and you also have one. Here is a photo of the one I had, PR mahogany, excellent sound. I hate myself for selling it.

I'm surprised that you post the Timbas Ismael as "good" and not as "excellent". I have played many, not all, of the ones you listed and I have a Junior, a Valje, and had a JCR/CR for a while. To my ears the Ismael has a better sound than any of them - It is probably the best and richest sounding bongo I have ever played. But, yes, they are very heavy.

As far as sound, I have had 3 Ismaels. Is very hard to find a pair of bongos that sound better than the Ismaels. As far as being heavy, yes they are, but the richness in sound makes up for the weight.

Yes, it has found a new excellent home. That was the best of the 3 I had. Heavy but incredible sounding, 10 lugs, very precise tuning.
