A recent purchase of mine. Beautiful sounding instrument weighing in @ 11.5 lbs. 3 week waiting period to arrive at my location from Quebec City Canada. A smaller set of custom plates with the word "BONGOSERO" will arrive shortly to fit my Tropical series set. Easy attachment and will give it a more unique look than it already has. how is it sounding now with that good combination,how does the hembra mula sound?

The Hembra has a deep bassy full sound to it and has good projection. The kip is beautifully dry and crisp especially while slapping and a very clear Martillo "ticky tocky ticky tocky" crisp sound to it and projects very loud as well with the lightest of strikes while playing. The original mule macho is a standby in the event of a rip or tear on the presently mounted kip. It has a decent sound but not with the firecracker pop I'm used to getting out of my macho heads. I can't complain it's a beautiful set that will outlast my lifetime.

Some more pictures highlighting the custom coloring of the bongos from Moperc. Included are my flight cases that house the drums perfectly. The flight cases have briefcase type snaplocks with a professional & clean look to them. I added Michel Ouellet's (MOPERC) and Michael Barsky's (L&H percussion) business cards to the exterior card slot holder for quick access reference in the event I would need replacement hardware or drumheads. These cases by the way were obtained through ebay years ago from a forum member. The company's name was the "The Pedro Company" which since then went belly up when the economy was at it's weakest point in recent memory. It's a shame because I would have snapped up 4 more of these cases for my other sets to have a home. Peace-Jorge

I like doing both. Playing on stage and taking pictures of them, although i stop playing in the band i was playing for...their jazz had too much rock, and i felt like they didn't have enough respect to the drum, or to latin music.

Now that i am gone, not in it, they say their missing me..and the people say the congas, and and bongo are waiting for me.
I defenetly want to be in a band where they respect the drum, cultura, y raizes...because that shows when you listen to music raizes.

Any set that I possess doesn't sit around to collect dust. I rotate my playing time quite well to ensure that I get not only a daily practice in but also to give the new skins of each set that I own their breaking in period accordingly. Yes I'm happy to share images of my sets with the rest of the brotherhood of this forum and if any would ask of any details of the sets I try to be cordial enough to reply to the best of my ability. I'm not a pro and never have stated that I was so, this is the reason I can't really give an honest "live band" review of the Mopercs but I can say that they project in sound louder than any of the sets I currently own. I could only imagine what they would sound like "Mic'd Up". Personally I like a durable, great sounding, quality set of bongos and don't mind shelling out the $$ if it is truly worth the investment. I really do my homework researching a possible buy after the fiasco I've encountered with JCR this past December. It is the love of the instrument I've had for over 25 years and still enjoy playing them today as I did when I first discovered the world of percussion back in my service days when Jimmy Carter was president of the USA. In conclusion yes I collect and play bongos but that doesn't give you the right to dump smack on my posts! Why don't you show the brothers of this forum what you play on and your experience as a percussionist before you try to bring down someone who hasn't in the least been a braggart about anything. You seem to rub people the wrong way and from what I've read & seen most if not all of your posts have been removed because of your aggressive and criticizing nature as well as your registered user membership. Like Michael Kay the Yankee broadcaster says after a hit ball has gone yard "Cya!!!" & good riddance. I'm out!!!

I LOVE....I REPEAT LOVE!!! seeing pics of my fellow brothers percussions, and gigs...makes this forum more enjoyable and unique.

Alltough i wanted to post i was losing the taste for this forum, for the lack of pictures lately, until ABAKUA let us know how it went in Cuba...

To me pictures give this conga forum the excitement, of checking what new thing i will encounter, what interesting bongo, or conga i will see....like i said before people of tribes would apreciate the conga even if it didnt make a sound, before it made a beat.

There is a differance between what you say and I say, I been there , and done that, you and many are just starting so that makes a major difference. If the person got can, he must of have been an A-hole about what he said I will send some one to hell but there is a difference I know what I am doing. Many talk just for sake of talking,know that has to stop. Moperc is a good drum if person like it let it be . If you or any one dose not like it so what that why colors were made. The biggest key in a bongo or of any instrument is knowing how to play it even if it look like shit. Here this forum has become who has what in reality who cares . Enjoy whay you have and be happy that others have something nice.

Most the cats I know that been there and done that don't talk shit, so whatever, if one can talk shit around here everyone should be able to talk shit. I too have felt that some have been spared by the admin while others have got the axe. I don't care who you are, we can all be respectful all the time, or we can all have liscence to say what we want It's not fair when some people get to say some nasty things about others and get a pass while some people talk hell of smack and get defended. Just my two cents. And we all know that that has happened here before. Dude made some rude comments, I commented back , I guess he got deleted, probably not for what he said here but for capping on Dario's playing. Really there isn't any place for that here, but like you said, it's a public forum, unless you're going ballisitc on someone or threatening then I gues the comments should stand, we can all defend ourselves here and I think most people would stand up to a bully, which looks like what was happening to deleted man.
