Laurent, from Trevor Salloum's Bongo Drumming: Beyond the Basics, page 55. Nengón is a very old style of music considered the ancestor of Changuí. Nengón has been preserved by La Familia Valera Miranda and other groups from the Guantanamo province. La Familia Valera Miranda play Cauto style Nengón, which is best demonstrated on the recordings Ahora Sí! Here comes Changuí(Corason 1995) and Music from the Oriente de Cuba:Son, Valera Miranda Family (Nimbus 1994).

Hope this helps!
