SKYNDEEP ON EL PIERNAS MACHO???

Hi gentlemen ,I ordered a skyndeep for macho head of bongo,based on Caballo posted recommendations...and it sounds great...so kudos to him!! I ordered the tucked version (figured it will last longer..) and it fitted an old Meinl bongo.I like it so much ,I would like to put one on my El Piernas but the tucked version does not fit on that bongo...Has anybody here tried or mounted a "skyndeep' regular untucked on the macho head of an El Piernas.I would like to know before I place my next order.Thanks in advance and keep beating them up with love!!The bongo skins...that is.Good drumming and health to all of u.J6.

If the problem was that the tucked skin was a bit too big for your rim, a crimplock MIGHT work. Your best bet? Take your rim to any music store you may have close by, see if they have any crimplock heads available and try for fit-the safest way to go.

Ismael,thanks I have tried that but my Guitar center did not have any stock....but I'll try harder this w.e.to try to contact other stores,maybe 1 will have them in stock.Gracias.J6.

Follow up....Found a GC that had 1 in stock,had to drive 30 miles 1 way to get it(what a man will do to satisfy his bongo cravings....),and yes the Skyndeep crimplock fits on the macho!!!!!!at least trip was not lost!!!!( by the way fit is not perfect but it does work and sound good!!!!thought I let you guys know,in case you try to do the same.)Johnny.
