Indeed beautiful. However, the tuning lugs could be better LOOKING or shape etc, etc . IMHO

Those Red Bongos are mine. Since Manito made the hardware to match my shells, I am sure that the Walnut Bongos being 100% Manito's product will turn out incredible. The tuning lugs should really match up extremely well on those Walnut shells. Please make sure to post pictures of these Bongos when you get them as I would love to save the pictures.

By the way....Manito's polished stainless steel hardware is second to none. You won't have to worry about any Chrome peeling in the future. He is truly an artist. Even his flesh hoops are made so good you have a hard time just finding the weld on them.

Mr.Rumba......Just a little suggestion for you..

When Manito made my hardware for me I also had him make me an extra set of Fleshoops ( one for the Macho and one for the Hembra ) . In case you want to put other heads on in the future without having to damage the existing heads so this way you can have two sets of heads if you want to. It is well worth it at this time to do it while he is still making the bongos for you.

That's not a bad idea either, but at least make sure you get the extra set of flesh hoops for sure.
Make sure you post pictures ok? I can't wait to see the finished product. That wood looks nice and thick as well, ought to last you a lifetime.

Yes, I will post photos and video as well. I have some Sonoc and other bongos to compare with as well so it should be very interesting.
I contacted Ryan for extra flesh hoops. He that it was a good idea as well. If he has time he will also do replacement heads pre mounted.
Thanks for your idea!
