Greetings and saludos..
I mainly play seated and wearing a new pair of shiny trousers the other day noticed how difficult it was to maintain good grip on the bongo..
What fabrics do the brothers prefer and could the wrong trousers effect sound?
I found that the best for me are linen, not too baggy..

Hi Charangaman,
Have you tried rotating the tuning lugs so that they sit comfortably in the crook of the knee.
You may have done this, but you dont have to grip them so hard, they are comfortable and dont slip, whatever you are wearing.
Downside is, you then have to put the lugs back if you want to use a stand.
Where are you playing the Bill Withers stuff, in London??

Saludos, the position of the Tuning Rods in the Bongos was something which was called for attention by the Bongoceros in Cuba,( but some of the makers, might not be awared of that), the other thing is the locking position of the legs.Dr. Zaragemca
