What is Kip....calf skin or what?

Kip generally refers to a young cow older than a calf but still not full grown.

Thanks I bought some bongo heads that are KIp and was wondering.....googling infered what you just pointed out but never actually said so.

I don't know if it's still done but we used to buy 'skins" from the TANDY LEATHER Co. whole sheets of skins..get like 6 to 8 heads out of them....Don't know if they still provide skins....I'm talking another century ago...

I just gave Timba a call to doublecheck (because they sell kip skins) and Silvia says kip is a young cow.
