I just got these. Campos Percusion bongos, made in Madrid, Spain. Solid one piece made from resin and the bark from the Almendro tree. Macho 7.25, hembra 9", very light weight. Dandy Rodriguez endorses Campos in the European market. Tremendo sonido.[attachment=0]e7f4d85871d06f5771adaf5c7b146bd2.jpg

And how do you like them?
Interesting that Danny Rodriguez endorses them by the way.

Wow! Is that connecting block part of the bongo shells itself?

They are a big size bongo', very light weight, sustained projection. Center piece is part of the bongo, resin with the bark of the Almendro tree from Spain.

The description sounds a bit like remo's acousticon, but I don't think they use a particular wood fiber.
I like acousticon BTW ... I have remo doumbek made of it and it sounds great.

Interesting material, sounds from the website description like it is made of ground up almond shells mixed with some kind of plastic resin and formed in a mold? Omelenko, you have a pair, what does the shell construction look like in real life?

I got them from a guy that brought them from Spain. I saw Dandy when he was with Puente about 25 years ago with a pair and I asked him, ever since I was interested in them. They are a big size bongo' with a macho at 7 1/4 and a 9" hembra. They are very light weight and look just like wood. Very strong and well made
