Those look like some really beefy tuning lugs!
Is the hardware chromed steel, or stainless steel?

Also-- in another thread, you indicated that you have (or have had) bongo's from El Piernas, JCR, and Junior. But in this thread, you say that these Columbia ones are the best you have ever played. Is this true? You really like these better than the El Piernas, JCR, and Junior Tirado's that you've had? If so, what exactly do you like better about these ones?

the best word to describe this bongo is tremendous. the skins are better, the hardware is better, the wood is better and the colombian pine they use is better too. overall my personal opinion it is the best bongo i have ever had. try get one and you will see what i am talking about. you are right abut the nuts, i have to use a 5/8 wrench and the hardware is just polish steel. my opinion this is a beautifull piece and it can be yours. this one is for sale or for trade. this is my osiris bongo
