Hello.

If you're living in the USA, you can search for :
- Alberto Delgado in Florida (not sure)
- Peter Musser (PM percussion)
- Manito percussion
- Mat Smith (Ritmo percussion), but the man is overbooked and I read he's not taking orders anymore for a while
- Elvis Rodríguez (Songo Percussion) in NYC
- Juan R Figueroa in NYC too, I think
- Lou Vega (VGA percussion)

- Jorge Miranda in Puerto Rico, but I read somewhere he had had some health issues, so I don't know if he still works

- Atempo percussion in Perú

- several colombian brands : HR el Piernas, CP, Tambores Barranquilla, ...

You can find their sites easily browsing the web or maybe Facebook.

In Europe :
http://www.alix-percussion.com/ in France (very nice guy)
http://tumbaupercussion.yolasite.com/ in Berlin, Germany (nice guy too)

I certaily forgot some, but you can allready search these...

And I forgot Ralph Flores from Resolution drums (he's the son of Tom Flores, the Valje founder).
Shame on me.

I have a bongo by Elio Cotto. Great shells! PR Caoba, solid-shell. But, his hardware is rough and much too heavy. You may want to send him your hardware and have him fit the shells to it.

Yup, I saw that post. I asked him to make me something more traditional. So we’ll see. The hurricane last year really set him back, so I’m still waiting for my set. Been in communication with him, his shop took a big hit.

I’m going to have AD Percussion in Florida make me the shells. $165 for the two Mahogany shells.

Regards,

I saw that you’re looking to thin out your collection a bit. I’d be interested to see what you still have left to sell. If you can send me pics and asking price.

Best

Hi, I'll add Lou Vega of VGA drums and Percussion of Oviedo, Fl 407-366-7541. No solid shells staves only. I was in contact with him a couple of days ago and he said he had some walnut shells laying around that are unspoken for. Good guy and he's on facebook. Buenas suerte.

Bongoceros, here’s a pic of the shells AD Percussion in Florida is making for me. Made from Caoba. I supplied the hardware. Once the Bongo is all complete I’ll add pics.

Will do. Once it’s all done I’ll add more pics as well. But this Bongo is going to be close in size to the LP 1964 Replicas.

Alberto Delgado is a great artisan. This is my model from 2016 made of cedar. Kind of heavy but what a tremendous sound.

Caballoballo, Your JM,s and AD Bongos are insane! Bien chevere! I’m just starting to acquire artesano made Bongos. I have one on order by Elio Cotto from PR and now one by Ad Percussion in Fl. Elio has been behind on completing my set due to the Hurricane last year. Lucky me, I placed the order two weeks before the storm. Lol. I’m hoping to have it by end of year, we’ll see. The AD Percussion set will arrive next week some time.

I’ll post pics when I get them.
