Experimenting with different skins!!

Postby Juaort » Mon Sep 24, 2018 7:14 pm

I’m always looking for different type skins to play around and experiment with. I added Deer on the Macho and Byson on the Hembra to my LP Gen3 Set. So far I’m liking the sound. The deer skin is crisp, nice high pitch tone. The Byson Skin has a deep bass to it. These are still being broken in, so I'm expecting the sound to only get better.

Nice.
Could you please post a small sound demo when you think the skins are ready ?
I read a lot of positive things about bison (american buffalo) skins, and am considering giving it a try one of these days (there are some bison parks here in France, I must send them a mail to ask if they can sell some skins).
