This Requena is so beautiful. It is only visiting a short time before continueing its journey to Alwin. Here are a couple of pics. It looks like one of the side plates doesn't quite line up with the crown but I am sure it is something that can be fixed fairly easily. Anyway, enjoy the drum Alwin. Jacqui

Wow you are absolutely right, that is in fact a beautiful drum. Those square nuts are interesting, when I got my Requena I first thought that they were not original, come to find out that they are in fact original and that they are part of the unique characteristics of these drums.
I really hope that bands are put back on this drum, it just wouldn’t be a Requena without them beautiful none the less :D

Seems like Jacqui is on a roll. The owner called me up saying that a teacher called him up asking for these and while I was about to hit the NJ Turnpike to pick these up my wife called saying we are short on $$$$$ so guess what?? Probably lost these to Jacqui.

Wow, talk about a great find. I found a couple of Matadors, in great shape, for the same price two weeks ago on craigslist.

There you have an example of what I mean people buy expensive drums yet they don't know how to play and few mouths later give them away . That is a good buy for some one that knows what they are getting into.

Wow talk about a far fetch assumption. with all due respect Leedy Nowhere in the add does it say why the person is selling the drums, how long the person has had the drums, nor does it say that the person selling the drums does not know how to play them. It's quite possible that, like many of us here, the person has other drums, heck for all we know that person might very well be a professional, possibly can play better than you and I put together :D .
