MY BUDDY LAZARO ALFONSO AND HIS INVENTION THE TUMBATA!...here he is in Miami today..he is the former 1st conga drummer for Irakere..his younger brother El Nino was the second...

Pacho Alonso had a drum basically like this in his band in the 1970's.

Wow!..well obviously Lazaro was around at this time this drum was created and ran with the idea...
