Bongo heads

What's the origin... when, where... history and evolution of this instrument.

Does anyone need some new pre-mounted bongo heads ? this is some nice dark rawhide meaning the natural oil is still in the hide, unlike your light color lifeless hide due to xtreme chemical treatment, used by most mayor companies. Also it doesn't stretch as well, ripping reather easily. If interested let me know.

Franc I don't think so, the skin is thin ,dark with natural oil. When wet it is thick , but when it dries is thin and tight. so you don't have to do a lot of tunning, also is easier on your hands. Mule is known to be thick.
