Hi, I started using the Vic Firth world Clasic EL PALO purple color. I also use the Zildjian Marc Quinones Salsa sticks. You should give them a try. Ed, I also picked up a book with CD by Glen Caruba. It has a small section on timbales with Cascara Pattern. It covers conga,Bongos,Djembe, cowbell. Notations, clave. You got my number give me call if you want one.

I tried both those sticks. I use the puple ones to practice so when I use the skinnier ones I can play faster when I play live.

Hi, I'll get those sticks you requested by Friday. Here is the website you wanted.

http://www.wwbw.com
http://www.music123.com
http://www.steveweiss.com
http://www.samash.com
http://www.midwestpercussion.com
http://www.musiciansfriend.com

This are some that I use. Also go to your local stores and see if they can beat or match the price online most will. Their's nothing better than building a relationship with your local shop.
