Recommendations for Timbale lessons in SF?

Forum fully dedicated to the instrument

Hi all,

I'm going to be in SF early Sept visiting a friend (while traveling thru to Spain & Italy for 6 weeks of holiday!!).

Am keen to hook up wth a highly recommended Timbalero while I'm there to get a couple of lessons.

Any recommendations on who I could get in contact with (and for that matter how)?

New Zealand isn't overpopulated with timbaleros - so you grab the opportunities you can when you're overseas.....

Might even consider dropping past NY if we can fit it in....then I definately know I'd be able to get some great lessons.

Regards,
Craig

TigerBongo,

Don't over estimate the SF area. Living in that area this days you can find many great timbales resources like: Orestes Vilató, Michael Spiro, Karl Perazzo, Benny Velarde, John Santos, among many others. Send me a PM for contact info on this guys.

Saludos,

Jorge Ginorio
