This case does not protect as well as a stacking / cylindrical case. The shell sides can take damage & is not easily used w/ wheeled carts. I suggest stacking timbales in a hard tom tom case w/ any variety of padding or a padded gig bag inside a hard case ( see my reply in this topic ) This stly padded gig bag can be found in any 2 nd hand store, all u have to do is add more padding. Cases & bags are in 2 nd hand stores for less than $20 & many cities have used music equipment / instrument stores. I have 20 year old 2 nd hand store cases that are better than new cases at $150 !

Photo of two timbales cases one has gone through war for go 30 years color has faded the other a bit newer maybe 15 years and still holding up. The only thing that has need change are the belts and still good.
