Hello Congaplace,

Here are some photos of the New Wood Timbales made by Volcano Percussion. This is the first set ever made by this company and they look and sound wonderful. Using all the new construction methods,

Enjoy the photos.

Yawn, more Volcano spam on the forums.

If you want to give us something interesting, tell us about your experience playing this drum or what it was like seeing them in the flesh.

Perhaps you have not seen or played them and you are just giving us the sales patter for a product you represent?

Your rather clumsy tactic of attempting to recruit the forum on your side against me won't work - it is ordinary members like myself who are in the the majority and the shills for manufacturers such as yourself who are but few.

You are not neutrally offering information, you have ties to the manufacturers, therefore you are biased.
You are advertising them, promoting them, whatever you want to call it - this wouldn't be a problem but you don't declare your interest.

Personally, I don't like that on internet forums and as far as I am aware under the TOC of this forum, I am allowed to say so.

I'm happy to leave it at that for now.

I have nothing against you or Volcano - it is what you are doing that I find dubious.

Lets hope the silver lining of this little cloud is less advertising of Volcano on the forum.

Gallichio you already know what I think of the Volcano Tarolas, and thanks for letting us know they exist. As how they sound I will take your word for it, as I know you know your drums, about buying them... is a decision that I and other members will make, on our own o... I forgot the gun that you put to my head

Agreed 100%.

As for the guy 'demonstrating' the product on youtube... Errr.... No comment.

Just in general, could we leave the bickering etc off the forum please? Please take it to PM. If you do not want to receive PM from the other party, then someone be the bigger man and walk away.

Not to judge anything or anyone in particular: Promoting/recommending a product seems to come with a built-in, self-policing mechanism. Beyond a certain point, the more you rub it in, the more people tend to get turned off by it.

Attaining a happy medium is more of an art rather than a science.
