Best way to take tag's off

I was wondering what would be the best way to take off the name plate off of theses timbalitos. Im going to strip off the finish and polish them. I use a heat gun on my friend's timbales but the glue is very hard to soften. Should i just work around it?

Thank's Cuco: I was waiting on your expertise. Going to heat the inside with a small torch. Man that pega is strong!
