thank you Onile! I'm beaming with pride over here over the compliments!

Hopefully I can improve with some lessons in PR (I'm going to be meeting with David La Mole over the summer).

I'm a professional bass player...but not nearly as monster on it as I am on congas. I'm taking lessons with the bassist featured on the video. We're good friends and he's helped me a lot.

Funny enough....my first instrument was drums and timbales...though I don't play them as much as bass and congas these days. I'm trying not to ignore practicing my sticking exercises...so I don't lose the ability to play drums and timbales.

A recent introduction featuring Victor "Papo" Sterling on Iya, Rene Gonzalez (myself) on Itotele, and Eduardo Gonzalez on Okonkolo.

It was part of a recent performance of Heshima Moja's Ofrecimiento Ensemble. We did a mini Oro Seco with just Ellegua, Ogun, and Ochosi, and proceeded to play Afro Blue. I'll put up more videos from the performance as they come. (taken 1/30/2010)
