If you are on Facebook, I invite you to check out the Humboldt County Drum and Dance, A History in Photos page:

Of particular interest to this group may be the Explorations in Afro-Cuban Dance and Drum ~ 1st decade: 1996-2006 page:

. . . and Explorations in Afro-Cuban Dance and Drum ~ 2007 - present:

If any forum members have photos from the annual workshop, it would be great to get them in these photo albums. Contact me privately.

Here are a couple of photos from the Humboldt County Drum and Dance, A History in Photos page. I'm playing quinto with Los Muñequitos in 1992 (bottom) and 1994 (top):

I think I posted this link already, but here's the video of me playing quinto with Los Muñequitos in 1994:

Here's our own Taikonoatama with the late Regino Jimenez, c. 1998, and Windhorse in Lazaro Galarraga's song class (far left) in 2009.

Haha! David, a really good friend of mine was around that scene back in those days. Bradley H. He moved to SW Colorado and taught me a ton of great stuff (probably a lot from you). He's still around there. Mentioned your name in an email the other day in fact. Small world.
