Hello CongaPlace,

I would like to share a video with all of you that was recorded last Friday. It is called Drum Duo.

It is my extreem pleasure to work on this video project with such a wonderfully talented Chicago Jazz drummer and friend.

Grant Strombeck on drum set and Mike Gallichio on congas trading fours.

Grant Strombeck is the drummer for the play " The Beat " in the 16 Street Theater in Berwyn, IL. He is one of the finest drummers I have ever heard. He also makes some very cool videos.

I hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it.

Mike,

Nice feel to this drum talk. This definately has that conversation vibe. I dig those broom sticks on the set too. I look forward to more from the Drum Duo. Perhaps a future Dynamic Drum Duo? :D

Hi Jerry / King Conga,

The producer of " Drum Duo " is Grant Strombeck. He wanted everything black, my shirt, my pants and my drums if possible so I used my black LP congas. That was fine with me because I had the LP drums already set up in my drum studio. The Volcanos are still my number one set. It was fun making this video. Grant Strombeck makes really cool videos. He used two cameras for the video and we used my Roland VS 1880 for the sound. Grant did his magic and put it all together. We used two Samson microphones and did this video in one take.

I am glad you enjoyed it.

Mike
