Good Stuff, Cuco. That was recorded like 50 years ago. If I am not mistaken that is Barry Rogers playing t-bone on that recording. Plus Mon Rivera what a singer that really could sing mambo, guaracha, son, bomba or plena plus the traba-lengua, out of sight.

Gracias, Cuco. Eras un chamaquito cuando empezaste en la musica. That was a monster band I mean Barry Rogers, Jose Rodriguez, Ray Maldonado, Tony Cofresi, Chivirico Davila, Mon Rivera. I bet you learned a thing or two form those guys. On that recording your bongo playing is in the pocket with mucho sabor, no overplaying. Years later Los Lebron Brothers covered "Dolores".

You sound great on bongo and bell. I know that hurt when they cut out your solo to make the track shorter!
Someone else put up a better sounding version of Mi Mambo on YouTube:

I just checked this out.
I like everything I heard from that Album so far! Great feeling all the way through and your playing is great...wow, only a teenager on that cut... no wonder you're so knowledgable about the music and the instrument.
Respect!

Muchos gracias,
Blavonski
