It sure is. We are building some traction, and getting more and more people out who love rumba - so we hope it will be an on-going event for years to come. We have a long way to go as a community in L.A., but its getting there - little by little.

Love that. I had a girlfriend years ago that did commercial fashion illustration. She would alway sketch musicians when she was out and about and had tons of pictures from Jazz Giants to local rockers. She drew lightning fast and it had a spontaneous energy, unlike a posed portrait type of thing.

Whittier would be cool, not sure how many guys we would get - but I love playing outside.

I recognize several of those peeps in your pictures, Patricia dancing, and Miguel and Pili.. two of the Greatest players! Must be really awesome rumbas!

They vary from month to month, but we have some heavy cats come through. I am more excited about the consistency of the events and the community we are building... It's all positive and that means a lot to me.

That's awesome. The fact that it's building, and not disintegrating. That has to do with the energy and skills of the people that are consistent, like yourself!

I have a lot to learn, and just love going there every 1st Saturday of the month and forget all the troubles life can bring for a few hours.
