They are known to the Anglo market to be hard to deal with cause they are based Colombia, Sth America and do not speak English, only Spanish.
With respect, for clarity and with out turning this into a racial issue please..It goes beyond the anglo thing. There are people there locally in NJ/NY area that have deposits on drums that are waiting and waiting (around a year) and have been told that their drums are coming, and they never come (yet). This is a fact. I went through a similar process as well. And I have talked to several people trying to deal with them personally who are having a difficult time. I am not trying to bad mouth the company, I just want people to be aware of the situation at hand.
Meanwhile, I was quoted 3 different prices on the same drums from 3 different people at the company over a period of time. Getting a call back or simple e-mail back is very difficult. My spanish is not great I admit it so I had my Spanish speaking friends call.. but it is beyond that. There are dynamics at play within the company organization that need to be dealt with both in the uSA and abroad and moreover, on a simple business level.
I am sure they are all good people but just hard to deal with in my opinion. I would like to re state I love their conga drums and bongos, too. I really hope they get it together and organize their situation more efficiently.
