Posted: Wed Feb 09, 2011 12:45 amThese are the finest, cleanest examples of this vintage model I have ever seen ! I notice the original rims are designed for use w/ calf skins. The Slingerland ? Leedy's had chromed parts instead of Nickle as I see here. A Perfect set worthy of being in a museum ! I already built a vintage set that looks like these or I would buy these myself ! These drums are prefered by me, than to any Asian made modern drum brand. They never equaled the brass cascara tone & simple yet dependable drum key tuned timbale that has option for either plastic or calf skin ! These drums are treasures !
