Turn it upside down and put them on the synthetic drum head. Otherwise blasphemic heresy.

Actually Ray Baretto used this type of drum around the mid 70's...he used a foot pedal to hit the bottom of the drum and the top as a conga...it just never caught on for some reason...

It was probably used for effects and accents.
Kind of like a bombo drum but upright and play
with a foot pedal.

Actually it does make sense for a hybrid kit. It would be easier that my little 18" Ludwig.
