Here are some photos of Peter Musser's latest work with his PM Percussion Cuban Heritage Series Congas made form imported French wine barrels. He does some pretty amazing work. I prefer bands wrapped around drums but these are so beautiful I think I like them just the same.

Nice looking congas - I bet they sound great too!

This is off topic - but, what the hell, I can't help it!! Wines in my village are as good as the finest French wines. To some degree that is because they use the finest French oak wine barrels. Here is one of mine now being used as a table. I hope someday it will become a conga.

The best French oak barrels from the forests of Vosges and Troncais cost well over $1,000.

For my taste I like the sound of the Ritmos and
Gon Bops better than the others in the comparison
test.
