Are these compared to model made from poplar wood ?
There was something similar on CL since few ago , and widely commented here on the forum.

Ash is going to be a lot different from poplar, Moperc, LP , Meinl , Matt Smith and Jay Bereck all make drums from ash. Good, solid very stable. Not the honduran mahogany junior was famous for though.

This set belongs to John Berdeguer, friend of mine and conguero for Johnny Almendra's "Jovenes Del Barrio. Berdeguer was very close to Junior Tirado.

That is Wilie Everich (El Ruso), not sure whose drums he was playing.
