Just wanted to let people know:

"For Sale: Very Rare "El Chino" congas, made of extinct Caribbean Mahogany (Caoba). Incredible set in every way. These are not cheap drums and are true collectors quality. Six lug 11" and a 7 lug 12. The El Chinos - made by Luis 'el Chino' Martinez, a resident of Hollywood FL, used to live in Miami, of Cuban decent. Im not sure where he was born, but he is in his 80's, from what i understand. - See more at: http://congadr.blogspot.com/2008/08/el- ... 7Bfkk.dpuf"

These are not my drums I am posting for a friend. He is open to trades for other high end drum sets as well.
Please PM me here for any questions or details.

El Chino is 89 yrs. old. I've known Chino since 1973. He sold Afrosound congas wood, some of them 7 lugs and he sold Latin Sound congas made of fiberglass. El Chino is Cuban born, has been living in Miami since the early 60's, never in Hollywood, Fl. He presently still sells conga and bongo skins and Cuban tres guitars. I have his contact info., on account I visit him frequently. Chino does not speak fluent English. Enclosed find a label of his Afrosound wood conga. Notice it reads Miami, Fl.
