THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT GARY. IT'S A LABOR OF LOVE. NOTHING IS MORE FULFILLING THAN BRINGING THESE BEAUTIES BACK TO LIFE.

BUT SERIOUSLY THOUGH GARY, IT SEEMS LIKE A WORLD OF TROUBLE TO GO THRU TO SELL YOUR UNIQUE, AND TILL TODAY, ONE OF A KIND SET OF VALJE.
I PERSONALLY WONT SELL MY MOST PRIZED DRUMS. IN MY OPINION, NO ONE WILL APRECIATE THEM MORE THAN I. SO WHAT I'M PLANNING ON DOING IS DONATING MOST, IF NOT ALL (I HAVE OVER 30) OF MY CONGAS TO MUSIC MUSEUMS AROUND NYC AND THE COUNTRY IF POSSIBLE. I BELIEVE THAT'S WORTH MORE THAN ANY MONETARY VALUE THAT CAN BE PUT ON A CONGA NO MATTER WHO MADE IT. I'LL REST ASSURED IN MY GRAVE THAT THEY WENT TO A GOOD CAUSE AND NOT SOME SCHMUCK COLLECTOR WHO DOESN'T PLAY OR APPRECIATE THEM THE WAY A TRUE CONGERO WOULD. I KNOW OF A GUY WHO'S AN OK PLAYER BUT HAS ABOUT 20 JUNIORS ALONG WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER HIGH END DRUMS. I COULN'T HELP TO THINK (ALONG WITH A LITTLE ENVY )AS TO WHY.

WHY HAVE ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL INSTRAMENTS TUCKED AWAY IN YOUR BASEMENT FOR NO ONE ELSE TO SEE OR PLAY JUST TO HAVE BRAGGING RIGHTS. I WAS A BIT PERPLEXED AS WELL. ANYWAY GARY, THE POINT IS, WHY GO THRU ALL THAT TROUBLE TO SELL YOUR PRIZED CONGAS TO A STRANGER ONLY TO WONDER LATER IF YOUR BABIES ARE BEING TAKEN CARE OF.

KEEP THEM GARY!!! CHERISH THEM. YOU'VE HAD THEM FOR ALMOST 40 YEARS MY FRIEND. NO ONE WILL CHERISH THEM LIKE YOU HAVE. IF NO ONE WANTS TO BUY THEM I SUGGEST YOU DO WHAT IM GONNA DO. DONATE THEM TO A MUSEUM WHERE THEY'LL BE APPRECIATED AND CHERISHED BY THE CURATORS AND GUESTS OF THE MUSEUM FROM AROUND THE WORLD. NOT SOME SCHMUCK WHO'S GONNA TOSS THEM IN A BASEMENT FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS.

GOOD LUCK

Drum junkies I tell you, LOL! Lots of us do the same thing collect things just because.
I watch this show American Pickers on the history channel and I am amazed how much
stuff some people buy and collect. I mean some times these people have acres full of
barn houses/warehouses full of junk they have bought over the years. That's the way
many of us roll.

I think along the same lines. Sometime I think when the time come to let go of some of
my items to donate some of it to schools, church and other institutions or people that
I feel can put them to good use. Will see, in the mean time I continue on collecting select
items until who knows when. Take Care.

I believe what you're asking for the drums is not unreasonable. These are Valjes made in Tom Flores' shop with a rare super tumba and matching bongos. Those who can't afford them, have to pass. Brand new Volcanoes go for almost that much. Musically yours, Seneferu
