Hi Everyone,

I've attached a shekere rhythm notation but I'm confused how
to play (interpret) two right hand movements after each other.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hey Jason, well it looks like you are playing an Afro-Cuban 6/8 bell pattern on the shekere. With the two right handed movements that you were asking about you can accent those two beats with the right without doing a movement back down with the left. So with the right you can think of it as up up with the right and then back down with the left. I am not sure if that is a good explanation, I am not an expert of course I just know a little bit of shekere. I hope that helps
