My old Gon Bops have gone their way over the years. Bought a set of four in 1976. The smaller Conga was stolen in NYC while on a gig. I've let my friend in New York keep the Quinto because he uses it.

I still have the larger Conga (I think 11-3/4", but not certain of the size), but it has no head. Of course, I still have the rim and ring. I'm not sure if you can get pre-fitted heads from the new Gon Bops company for these older drums, but it's worth checking out. The Tumba is actually in excellent shape because I never used it playing out. Still has the same thirty year old head on it, but it's a really good head, just dry and needs some life put back into it. With a little serious work, I think the Tumba could be a pretty cool drum.

Anyway, I want to unload the two I still have. I definitely do not want to mess with shipping. Too much of a pain in the butt. I live about 30 miles northeast of Baltimore in Maryland. If anyone is interested and in driving distance, and you want to come pick them up, you can have them. This is a freebie.

If you are interested, send me an email, PM, or post back and I will get in touch with you. I can post pics if anyone wants to see them.

I'll be checking the forum here occasionally.

Manderson,

I'm in PA and would be interested in seeing a few pics if you can. (I'll have to get this past my better half, since she's not happy about the 4 drums I've already got crowding our small house. :p )

Isaac - The drums are yours. I'll be in touch and we'll set up a date/time for you to pick them up.

Thanks for the interest CongaTick - Isaac was a sharp shooter with the first email.

No problem.

Delighted that Isaac staked an early claim. Can't think of a better man to honor and respect those classic tubs. Mazel Tov Isaac, and please keep us posted on their rehab.
