Promoting CongaPlace.com On Myspace - an idea to add more members to the forum

Hi, I know many of us use myspace, it's a great way to network with other percussionists and musicians. Everytime I make a new friend that seems to be into congas, timbales, percussion, Latin, Brazilian, Cuban or other music I always sign my comment by adding the link URL to CongPlace.com.

I'm not sure if anyone ever sees it or actually hits this site because of it but I'm pretty sure there are thousands of other congueros on the web besides us. It may be a way for alot of music-minded people to find out about this place.

Maybe the promoters of this site could even create a myspace page for congaplace?

What does everyone else think?

first of all thanks very much for promoting congaplace over the web ... I really appreciate that!
Regarding MySpace it could be a good idea but I have few questions about it ... if I join myspace with an account called "congaplace" what do u think i should put on my page (a text and a link to congaplace?) and what is the way to be known by others myspace members or to promote our forum on myspace? should i go around making new friends or people will visit my page anyway?
Let me know a little bit more about what you had in mind when you started this topic ... as I said before I agree with you that beeing on myspace could be a good way to drive more conga funs to our forum ....

By the way I'm testing a new system called myCongaPlace which is going to replace the old community ... if you sign-up myCongaPlace you will be able to create your own web page on CongaPlace ... here few examples:

It's still a beta version... I have to work on the web page style and I have to add few more options (messaging system) ...

Hi CongaMan. Yes, you can build a myspace page and put whatever you want to on it. Anything attractive that would tell draw others to become your 'friend'. You will want to sign up as an "artist" and even add music featuring congas.

Secondly, You could use "congaplace" as the name and even use the logo on myspace. I believe it would be a great way to promote the website. Every musical artist in the world has a myspace page and they link thier personal website to thier myspace page. Also I believe you should seek new friends AND let others seek you. thanks for joining myCongaPlace and sorry for the waste of time with the italian.... as i said i've still to work on this new system and it's on testing at the moment...

The reason why you don't see a link to Your myspace page is because i've not added this function on the home page yet (i will do it as soon as possible)... everything you've done on your control panel is correct!

Password are crypted so I cannot tell you which password you have... what i'm gonna do is to set a new password for you and send it by email...
there's an automatic procedure to to do that but is in italian (!!) so it's better if I do it for You.... check Your email in 15 minutes and You will receive the new password... once logged-in you can go to myPassword and change it again with one of your choice...

I love the idea of a Myspace-like system for Congaplace. I was thinking the old "personal site" system was a little antiquated in that it necessitated Congaplace administrators to "update" the site. Having it interactive (as myCongaplace is) is much better.

Can't wait to share and learn with all of you in the community.

I'm going to replace all the pages of the old community but who wants can do it by his own (as you did!)...

At the moment i just finished to translate the control panel into english... the last thing in italian is the log-in which i'm going to transalte soon... once finished the translation i will start to work on the myCongaPlace" home page and the the messaging system...
