Festival del mamoncillo

Whats up? Anybody here can give me info on this event. "El baile del mamoncillo". I know it used to take place in the bronx. Today for the first time it took place in North Bergen Union City border. I went there with a few friends got to the door 40$ to get in and it was pretty much outside. They were playing charanga all the time I was there nothing exciting ( hung outside for a few ). Why so expensive? Is this some cult type thing I know JC probably heard of it. I looked online but dint get the whole scoop. I left kind of disappointed at the whole thing. Peace

I passed by there yesterday to pick up a friend, and went to the rumba in Central Park instead. My friend said it was nice (his girlfriend paid his way in), but we had a great rumba in the park until 10 pm, 35 bucks less.
