Very interesting! But I'd say these are conga-like drums not congas. The skins are probably thinner, the hardware does not look super strong. Also, I don't think you can work like that with your fingers on a thick cowskin. His hand/finger technique is probably tabla influenced.

Very cool video - those are not congas - a hybrid closer to tabla.
His playing technique is like tabla also. Indians have a lot of soul.

His tabla stuff was cool, have seen much more impressive players though. No comment for his conga approach.... :|
