Los Papines were and are a major influence on me, I saw them when they came to New York in the 70's at 3 different shows. I smuggled a small cassette recorder into the Corso and taped them live, Im sorry to say I lost the tape. Years later I saw them in Puerto Rico still cooking with a couple of new faces. Their cousin lives in PR and he got me a poster singed by the cousins after the concert which my brother has hanging in his law office. Seeing these guys live singing and dancing with their drums is something I will never forget. Papin was obviously the leader and I said a great influence on many of us. QEPD y Gracias por toda la musica.
