I recently purchased a copy of Rumba Eriera- Repica Bien El Tambor, and it's okay. Now what i am wondering if anyone is familiar with the style of rumba they are playing, i am assuming this is just a variation on guaguanco, but am not sure how knew this is cause i heard the same group of players play this more melodic style on the Chamalonga- En el Barrio Atare album. I know its the same drummers on both records.

upon further listening it sounds more like a variation of guaguanco with cajon, although not like other guarapachanguero variations, which i'm assuming this would be. peace

Hi Ralph,

Would it be possible for you to post a short sound sample of the track, so we can check it out?

Best,

Jorge Ginorio
