I'm sure he's glad to have what he's got for the time being, and that he probably knows the level of those drums. However, they get him drumming and learning, and perhaps when he can afford it he will buy material that doesn't "suck"

Hi everyone

1: English is not my first language, so be nice... when you speak 3 languages then you can correct my grammar...

2: these drums do suck, I am sorry.. let's fce it... Of course they allow one to start working, but I was just trying to let him know that he will feel frustrated very fast, that's all...

Now please tell me if I am wrong here...

I think the point is, as Congatick stated.. That Jure is well aware that maybe they aren't the best Congas in the world and he doesn't need reminding..

I think it is sensible to not spend vast sums of cash as a beginner on what may turn out to be only a hobby..

Many of the budget/beginner sets are perfectly adequate for home use and will certainly last him long enough to save for higher quality in future if he so wishes... In fact when he gets some Gon Bops, Lp's or whatever, he will be flying..

Better to be hitting something NOW! Also Jure, congratulations on the Cajon, looks great....

Hi

I do agree with you.

Now the rest of his equipment seems just great too.. I was just noticing a difference of quality that's all.

But yes, better play on these drums before investing more..

Akdom,

Your point about langiuage is very well taken, and respected. Perhaps I shoudn't be so fast to criticize your comment until I learn how to speak Frech fluently. :D I am also very gald for Jure whose setup is actually more extensive than mine, and who, with his enthusiasm for being part of our brotherhood, will, I predict, continue and thrive in our obsession.

Alright, it seems that we are all friends again right?

Anyway, I also started with not so nice equipment.. I first bought a pair of wood meinl marathon series about 15 yrs ago... I sold them about a year ago since I couldn't "divorce" them... lol

Anyway, long live the rhythm

Huh? ??? No matter what your first language is, it's not really cultured to tell people that their drums "suck"? What good does that do the owner of the drums, even if he knows that there are better drums out there?

I do speak more than 3 languages and grammar is not the issue here - not even remotely.

Peace!

OK, so they do not suck right? they are just first price half mucic instrument drums... or maybe closer to toys than real instruments?

What does he think about that?

I guess something was lost in translation here - I really haven't got a clue what you are saying akdom? Well who cares anyway...

And now back to the drumming.
